The Complex Humanitarian Emergency-Water Interdisciplinary Group began publishing periodic reports on the situation of the Right to Water since 2018.

This report, prepared with the support of the International Federation for Human Rights and Provea, delves into the root causes that prevent the Venezuelan population from enjoying the right to water and sanitation and also presents proposals to improve these conditions. 

The analysis of the situation of the right to water must start from a central fact: Venezuela has an enviable water wealth in the entire planet; therefore, the absence of the resource is not the cause of the difficulties of access to water for the population that the studies of various civil society organizations record. To understand why this paradox of service deficiencies occurs in a context of natural abundance, it is important to analyze several elements:
