Three reports on the situation of education in Venezuela give content to this newsletter, where are addressed the destructuring of the educational system, the enormous difficulties in offering quality education and the aggravation of the situation of schools after a distance education that left significant lags in learning.

A DISJOINTED EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM. Planning stoped being a core instrument in Venezuelan education. Chaos has been installed in every instance of the educational process and experts agree that neither the MPPE, nor the governorates, nor the mayors are in a position to guarantee education. HOW MUCH, HOW AND WHAT IT ES LEARN IN SCHOOL. The breakdown of the Venezuelan school system undermined the human right to develop creative potentials and a sense of dignity in a democratic society. Education ceased to be an instrument for building scientific, humanistic and technological capacities at the service of society. Formal education replaced free personality development with ideological indoctrination; freedom of thought and knowledge with a populist vocation; and physical and mental skills and participation in a free society with political patronage. BACK TO SCHOOL IN PANDEMIC. The fear of the pandemic in Venezuela is not trivial. Returning to face-to-face classes poses challenges that the public education system is unable to meet. Without adequate schools; without a sufficient number of teachers; without formal educational programs; with an insufficient school feeding program; without having yet achieved the necessary immunity and without a leveling program to make up for the lag that distance education produced, the return to school is unsustainable in the short term.
